In particular, they discuss how Adultism (the oppression we experience as young people) creates patterns of behavior that becomes racism and other oppression in our adult relationships and prevents us from taking on the bold leadership we all want and need to end injustice. Their conversation primarily focuses on the oppression of racism, but Nanci explains why personal healing is the missing component of all justice movements and how LJIST’s core teachings lay out a framework for a healing practice unlike most others, especially in our approach to whiteness.
